ETRUSCAN TOUR
We designed this tour for lovers of the Etruscan culture, where you can visit the Etruscan necropolis with their particular tombs and magnificent frescoes that tell the earthly life of the deceased. The treasures left by ancient Etruscan tombs are valuables and now in many museums, but how about seeing them on your tour.
The tour starts at 8:00 am our driver will meet you at your hotel in Rome or another address indicated on the reservation. We visit the medieval city of Tarquinia built on a cliff where on one side you can enjoy the view of green valleys and across the Tyrrhenian Sea.
At Tarquinia there is the necropolis of Monterozzi which is recognized as a World Heritage Site, with over 6,000 graves, of which only 150 are decorated with wall paintings.
Leave Tarquinia to visit the city of Tuscania surrounded by unspoilt nature, which has borders of Lazio and the neighboring Tuscany.
We will visit the two medieval churches of San Pietro and Santa Maria Maggiore, of Gothic architecture, built upon ancient Etruscan times.
For lunch we are fortunate that Tuscania offers delicious local cuisine, take you pick or how about we offer you a recommendation.
Trattoria La Torre di Lavello is famous for the great food, and from here we can also see the tower and the Basin park. After lunch we walk the medieval town to reach the Piazza del Duomo, here ends our Etruscan Tour.
